Long Island based, award-winning landscape design/build firm, KokoBo Plantscapes, Ltd., has been chosen as the on-site contractor for HGTV’s new series Urban Outsiders. Selected for seven episodes, KokoBo staff will work hand-in-hand with host Matt James to implement his designs.

KokoBo Plantscapes, Ltd., an award-winning landscape firm, donates large Holiday wreath to St. Catherine of Sienna, Smithtown, NY. KokoBo makes the yearly donation in honor of Mary and Michael Madarash, who lived at te facility from 1990 to 1997.

April 12, 2005- KokoBo Student Career Days
KokoBo Plantscapes, Ltd., recognized for their exclusive NY rooftops, attended the 29th annual Professional Landcare Network’s (PLANET) Student Career Days at the University of Maryland at College Park. KokoBo, who was one of 80 exhibitors represented at the career fair, had the opportunity to meet with more than 1,000 students representing 57 schools from across the East Coast.

July 2004- Rooftop Gardens: Latest Trend in Quest to Escape City Life
While flying over metropolitan areas the view may soon be different. With the trend of rooftop gardens on the rise, concrete roofs may soon be the thing of the past. In fact in Tokyo new buildings are required to place greenery on at least 20% of available roof space. With New York, Boston, and Chicago leading the way in the US, it is expected that the green roofs will absorb heat normally retained in asphalt streets, reducing city temperature by five degrees. In New York one garden is leading the way.
